Printer Ink Prices Set to Rise Again
Posted by admin under ink
The price of printer ink cartridges is set to rise again this month so most people are looking for cheaper alternatives the high prices of branded ink cartridges. There are cheaper alternatives available for all brands of inkjet printer however some offer bigger saving than others. If you have an Epson, Canon, or Brother printer then your in luck because compatible ink for these printers are very cheap compared to the genuine cartridges and can save you up to 75%. Because HP, Lexmark and Dell printers use a different design of cartridge, one where the print head is fixed on the cartridge, compatible ink cartridges for these printers are a little bit more expensive but still offer good saving over the genuine branded ones. The reason for them being more expensive than Epson compatible ink is that the print head which is fixed on the cartridge is very expensive to manufacture and requires specialist machinery which third party companies in China don’t have the skills to produce. Both types of compatible ink cartridges offer good saving. For example, a set of compatible inks for an Epson SX405 costs around £12 and the originals cost £30. A set of compatible cartridges for a HP Photosmart C3180 cost £19 and the genuine HP cartridges for the same printer cost £27.
